My spanish is continually improving, I hope ... I've kind of lost track of my progress with the language and now I just talk and don't worry too much about it, I guess that's a good thing. Another great week in the mission here in Nicaragua. So I'm writing to you from a hot little room with about 10 minutes to finish up because I couldn't log onto my account for some reason, but here I am. We had an earthquake here the other day and a volcano erupted a little ways away also, but it was in the other mission. Everything's just fine and nothing is in the least bit different for anyone here. The food here isn't that great , I eat rice and platano (kind of like banana) every meal (which means lunch because that's the only meal that we really eat) and everything here is fried. Thank you for sending photos to the mission office, we're having a zone conference here tomorrow and they're for a slideshow . (hopefully you sent the really embarrassing ones).   Hello! Here are the photos I couldn't send last week (there should be another 4 in the next e-mail) .  The first one (003) is looking down the street where we live. Our apartment i s across the street from the police station here in  Ticuantepe and is one of the cleaner and safer places here (so don·t worry mom, I'm safe and all) . The next one  (004) is of yours truely and personally I think ifs a pretty good picture if you ask me. It rained pretty hard that day  and as we were walking up the street it suddenly turned into a river so it was a good photo opportunity . (005) is of  our apartment nothing too special and I'm not exactly sure why I took that. (006) : Elder Franco . . . and the bathroom. The two of them go well together as he spends much of his time there before we leave to go anywhere . He's always afraid that he'll have to use someone else·s "bathroom" so he does all he can to make sure that doesn't happen . I just stopped caring after ...

 Hi there! It was great to hear from all of you throughout the week and I enjoy hearing all of the updates on life outside the MTC. Everything's going well here and it's been another fantastic week. Just a note, it is easier for me to read and look through your e-mails and letters when they're given to me as a "DearElder". I can get those every day right away and they seem to make my day a little more interesting. So feel free to send those whenever you would like and/or send one on Thursday so I can get it and reply on Friday. Not a big deal, but this way we're all on the same page. Speaking of, I'm still keeping up on the Book of Mormon reading and the chart Emily sent is helpful.   But as far as news here goes... I saw Thomas the other day between the missionary fields and the Temple. He just yelled at me so it wasn't to distracting to my experience here :) Grandma and Grandpa Hansen sent me cupcakes from that cupcake place late last week,...

I'm already a week in and everything's going as well as I could have hoped. I would have been more clear in my last e-mail , but I was a little rushed for time ifl remember right. Audrey: my companion (Elder Willis) will be serving in Panama. He's excited to go and he's doing really well with the language. The food here hasn't been so great for the last couple of days because they only gave us half of the cafeteria so that they could feed the Mission Presidents and their wives. We're super busy and spend a ton of time studying and preparing to teach in Spanish. It's great to be here and it's amazing how much I am remembering and learning already. My companion's name is Elder Willis, he's from Tuscon Arizona. He's a good guy and I have a lot to learn from him. He likes drama, sarcasim, and to work hard studying the language. We actually get along really well. We're in an intermediate language district and have a great teacher.
